1. The Service
Mintd is a local trading card marketplace for in-person pickup. It connects buyers and sellers, provides listing, checkout, communication, QR handoff, proof, payout-status, and support tools. Mintd does not take title to cards and is not the seller of user-listed goods.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to buy or sell the relevant cards in your state or territory. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of listings, ownership of cards, tax obligations, and complying with applicable laws.
3. Listings And Pricing
Sellers set their own list prices. Buyers see the listing price, fees, and payment total before confirming checkout. Sellers receive the listed sale price after the protected handoff and payout hold clear, subject to Stripe account readiness and any dispute, refund, chargeback, fraud, or legal hold.
4. Fees
During launch, individual sellers and non-verified shops may use a buyer-protection/platform component of 2.5% of the listing price capped at A$35, with Stripe payment processing passed through inside the total fees shown at checkout. Verified shops can be configured as processing-only during the MVP. The checkout screen is the source of truth for the payment total before purchase.
5. Payments, Payouts, And Holds
Payments and connected-account payouts are processed through Stripe. Mintd coordinates checkout and may hold seller payout release until handoff proof, review windows, account-readiness checks, fraud checks, and support checks are satisfied. This hold is not a legal escrow account.
6. Pickup And Handoff
Transactions are pickup-first. The seller presents a one-time QR code at pickup and the buyer may capture handoff evidence. Users are responsible for choosing safe public pickup locations and behaving lawfully.
7. Refunds And Disputes
Refunds may occur by cancellation, mutual agreement, support decision, Stripe/chargeback process, or automated protection rule. Dispute outcomes may include refund, payout release, evidence extension, account action, or fraud referral. After payout release, sales are generally final except where fraud, counterfeit goods, legal obligations, or platform rules require intervention.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You must not list counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, misrepresented, or fraudulently obtained cards; buy your own listings; manipulate prices or transaction counts; harass users; evade bans; or use Mintd for unlawful activity.
9. Pilot Status
Mintd is launching through a Melbourne pilot. Features, availability, fees, verification requirements, shop treatment, and transaction limits may change with notice where practical. Some features may be disabled by launch-safety controls.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Mintd is not liable for user conduct, card authenticity claims, meetup safety, consequential loss, or losses outside the fees paid to Mintd in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Account Action
Mintd may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts, listings, payouts, or transactions where needed for fraud prevention, legal compliance, chargeback handling, dispute handling, safety, or breach of these terms.
12. Changes
Mintd may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app, email, or website where practical. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
